My First Time in LEGOLAND

My elder son is passionate about LEGO. He has many constructor models at home displayed on the bookshelves in his room. When we came to the USA the first amusement park we visited was LEGOLAND California. There was a valid reason for paying the visit to this awesome place – my son’s birthday. It was his 14th birthday and the 1st one in the U.S. so we wanted to make it truly memorable.

Our friends presented to all of us one day admission tickets to LEGOLAND and thanks to them Dima’s biggest dream about visiting LEGOLAND came true. A couple of days ago I stumbled on LEGOLAND coupon valid through 12.31.2022 that lets kids go free to major attractions with paid adult ticket.

Too bad we didn’t have such coupon to use at the time of our visit. I love freebies so much. Now LEGOLAND offers a chance to win a VIP trip for 4 to their New York resort. Who knows, may be you will be the lucky one who wins it!

I wish I could describe my son’s feelings about visiting LEGOLAND, but I can’t. He said that was his best birthday ever and since he is not very eloquent this is suffice for him to say. I can only speak for myself and for me it was an unforgettable experience.

From the moment we entered the park till the closing time I couldn’t stop feeling awestruck. Even though I have never been interested in LEGO constructors I was stunned by the beauty of the park. The interior is very green and well-groomed, everything is so bright and eye catching that you feel as if you really got to the different world. Wherever your foot steps you can spot either a dinosaur or a giant spider all made of LEGO.

There is something for kids of every age, from small ones to teenagers and even grownups. For smaller LEGO enthusiasts there is minifigure market where they can customize their our mini figures, along with LEGO Ninjago place and DUPLO playtown with tons of rides, slides and more.

And, of course, there is a splash zone where kids can run around, get all wet, but happy. We had the time of our life when we boarded the pirate ship and sailed around fighting water guns!

If you have LEGO Nexo Knights fans with you take them to the Nexo Castle where they can rescue the princess from the fire breathing dragon. There is also a knight’s armor made of LEGO, of course, which you can try on for a memorable photo!

Older kids would be excited to sit in a real size car made of LEGO at Build & Race attraction. Smaller racers can pass a real driving test and get a driver’s license with real photo.

Visiting LEGOLAND make sure you buy some gifts. At the end of the day we went to the LEGO shop where there is a great choice of LEGO constructors and personalized products, including Personalized Street Signs. There you can find signs like Leonardo St. or Mary Blvd, so why not get the street sign bearing your own name? We got Dima St and Max St for each of the boys to finish the day at the high note!

A day spent in LEGOLAND is a day full of play and fun. And even if constructing LEGO is not your kid’s favorite activity the park offers something for everyone. Anyone is sure to find an attraction to enjoy and even rest. We are already looking forward to our next visit!
